The Cesarano family is the core of the "Pasticio Antiche Tradizioni di Gragnano", pasta production company, descending from an old family of "maccaronari" currently, in its fourth generation.

Pasta is a simple product: durum wheat semolina and water. To preserve its simplicity we need that the choice and selection of these elements is accurate. For our production we only select 100 % Italian durum wheat and water from the near source of Faito Mountain.

The bronze die and slow drying process confer the typical roughness that allows a perfect union with sauces and condiment.

Our pasta is dried in static cells where we control humidity and temperature at least for 24h, to preserve the natural quality and taste of the product.

The city of Gragnano in the province of Naples boasts the prestigious European PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) recognition. The PGI is a mark of quality that is attributed to agricultural products and food-stuffs that have a given quality, reputation or features that are the result of their geographical origin and have been produced or processed within a specific geographic area. Hence, to obtain the PGI, at least one phase of the production process must take place in a particular area. PGI producers must follow the strict rules set out within production specifications, and the compliance with these rules is guaranteed by control organisms.
